Four Patch Posey
Using only one fabric for the blocks, you will learn how to make kaleidoscope blocks, all different and lots of fun. And sewing them together is easy, easy, easy. This will be a technique class only, you will cut in class, but you will sew at home. Required Supplies
Fabric: Large Print focus fabric. You may choose 2 and three-fourth inch or 3 inch or 3 and one-fourth inch or 3 one-half inch squares. Sample is made with 3 and one-half inch squares. What you need is four repeats of the design in your fabric. If the repeat of the design is 18 inches, you will need 2 and one-eighth yds of fabric. If the repeat is 27 inches, you will need 3 and one eighth yds. The ladies at the shop can help you with this.
Border - You will probably want your border to be the same fabric as for the blocks-approximately 2 yds. Sashing: approx. 1 yd. Setting Stones – one-fourth to one-half yd; Binding one-half to three-fourth yd. You may want to choose your sashing and setting stones fabric after you see what the blocks are going to look like; Rotary cutter with new blade; 6-inch or 6 and one-half inch x 24-inch ruler; Flower Head Pins; Glow Line Tape for your ruler
