Better Bindings Start to Finish

?  Do you dread binding and can never get crisp mitered corners? This is the class for you! We’ll cut binding strips, miter them together, machine attach to a quilt sandwich, miter the corners, sew the ends together, and hand stitch to the back. You’ll be capable and excited to get those quilts finished!  Teacher: Rachel Rogers; Day/Dates/Times:  This class meets 1 time; Thursday, April 25, 6 to 8 pm OR Saturday, May 11, 2024; 2 to 4 pm; Fee:  $35; Supplies not included in class; 1 Spool Difficulty

Skill Details: Rotary Cutting and sewing ?-inch seams
Requirements: Teacher will supply a small quilt sandwich to practice on Sewing machine with ?-inch foot (if you have a walking foot, bring it) Rotary Cutter Ruler at least 2 ?-inch wide by as long as possible Doug Leko Simple Folder Corners Ruler or Creative Grid Folded Corner Clipper Tool Half yard OR 2 fat quarters of scrap fabric to use as binding (printed fabric is best so you can easily tell right side from wrong side) Thread to match binding fabric color Hand binding needles Thimble, snips, pins, clips, and other assorted sewing notions
