Knitting 101 (3 two hour sessions)

Our Knitting 101 class for beginners is very comprehensive and covers almost everything you need to become a confident knitter. By building the proper foundation early, you will feel encouraged and excited to continue on your future knitting endeavors. Given the various aspects you need to know, we split this class into 3/2hour classes. This schedule provides you with time to practice (homework), which tends to increase your ability. As the old saying goes, “practice make perfect.” You will learn the basics of knitting: cast-on, knit, purl, increases, decreases, pattern reading, and bind-off. In addition, you will learn about different yarns, different needles, how to read, and understand labels on yarns, and various tools/accessories which will be used in your knitting. Teacher: Melisa Munch-Soegaard; Days/Dates/Times: This class meets 3 times; Thursday, January 18, February 1 & 15; 6 to 8 pm. Fee: $100; Supplies not included in class fee.

You're ready to push the boundaries of traditional fiber arts, creating intricate and sophisticated pieces that showcase your expertise. Expert (Level 4 - Fiber Art Virtuoso): 4 Spool Description: The expert level represents the pinnacle of fiber art mastery. As a virtuoso, you are a trailblazer in the field, pushing the limits of creativity and technique to create awe-inspiring, museum-worthy pieces. No matter your skill level, our goal is to nurture your passion and help you unravel the limitless possibilities within the world of fiber arts. Embrace your chosen level and let your creativity bloom!
Requirements: You will need to use size 6 or 7 knitting needles.
